Turned aside an NRA challange to a provision in the Brady law that allows the FBI to retain information about gun buyers.

Does FBI Director Louis Freeh need any help packing?  He's supposed to be gone by the end of this month, and I don't think we need him staying one additional day.

This is an FBI deal the BushAdministration needs to review and put the kabosh on.

As with all government, it has started, will not be ended, and will only expand.
If this were not true, AG Ashcroft would have ordered the practice discontinued and ALL retained data certified as destroyed, without the need for a court ruling.  I don't think he has or will issue that order......
