in lbs. for the screw that connects the stock and the barrelled action?

I torque mine to 65 in/lb.  Can't remember where I got this, however.

That is correct, it is indeed 65 inch lbs., however I think remington actually gives a range. However the 65 is the acceptable standard, which is why they sell pre-set torque wrenches for this.

You can get one of those t-handle torque wrenches pre-set at 65 in lbs. from Brownells for around $60. Much handier than carrying around a full size torque wrench.
