I tried to log on using the bookmarked topics because it doesn't take 5 minutes and used to work every time.  It was simply faster to start there.
It didn't work, and I was asked to use the log-in name and password.
It went to the May 31st 2001 front page!  Only took two minutes to load...
I tried another bookmark back door and got in, somehow.
Managed to get to the GD board to ask about it.
I'll stay on for a while to see if somebody know what happened.

Happens to me all the time after a few minutes of "un-surfing" the site.
Otherwise, it's a bitchin' day!
