How many people visit AR15.COM while at work?  I was curious if anybody on this board ever had any bad experiences on the job because they visited his site while at work.  Big brother is watching in the office, you know.

I work for the local college as an Instructional Technologies Support team memeber and I am on AR15.com all the time.  I have never gotten in trouble for it and my suporviser has seen it and it doesn't bother him.

My coworkers think I'm going to go postal because I've been to an evil gun site on company time.

Little do they realize that the Glock 22 in my bag makes them safer than anywhere else in town.

I have visited the site during work hours and have not had any problems.  Sometimes I get a little paranoid and wonder who's watching at work.  Never sure these days if human resources might come up with some kind of wierd anti-gun website policy!

Visiting AR15.COM at work

A cryig shame!  A darn crying shame!

Just in case you people didn't know this, there is professional help you can get to cure this disease.  Going online to visit this site even at work is, should I say, a pathetic addiction that needs immediate psychiatric intervention.  Don't wait to get professional help or it will just get worse!  All I can say is please take my advice.

BTW, I should know!  I've used my psychiatrist four times this year alone to help me rid of most of this AR15.com malady.  Now I only visit AR15.com while in meetings, restroom, while driving, market shopping, while dating, while making love...   Yeah, I'm almost cured!!!     [BD]

The only website they have ever blocked due to lil ol me was www.afrosquad.com.  When they keep you at work for 12-14 hours every day, what would they expect?

Hell yea. I even order ammunition from work. Helps when the only other employee at your job is a stark raving mad conspiracy theorist. Don't ever mention Trilateralists in front of him.

Proxy?  Tell me more, they've blocked my yahoo at work, and it's just a matter of time before this site gets the axe.

I am the Boss so it doesn't matter, for me at least.

But I will tell you that if you think you can do it at work and not get caught you are mistaken.  Maybe it won't be used against you now, but all we have to do is document your "violations" and use them against you later.

That is why we don't allow internet access (except for the chosen few) only e-mail and the browsers are restricted to our company's web page.  Hell, if I didn't I would have had to fire everyone with a computer for "violating the rules".

The way I see it is like this.  If I put a jar of candy, or cookies, or chips on your desk and tell you not to eat any, or you will be fired.  Then I am the dumbass, not you.

I used to, until my Netscape browser locked up and I had to ask one of my computer admin buddies to kill the PID.  He decided for grins to look at where I'd gone on the web... let's just say afterward he quietly told me to "be careful where you go" because he saw all the gun sites I'd hit.

He's a union steward and actually represented me in a "situation" this last year so he said he really didn't want to see me get in trouble.  Funny thing is, he's a fellow shooter and one of the few co-workers I have that doesn't look at me like I'm nuts when I get a maniacal grin on my face talking about the last shoot I went to.

But the fact remains that I work for a large company that is very vocal on it's antiweapon policy.  Heck, I usually have my Bucklite in my back pocket (from feeding the horses before work) and I've had a co-worker comment negatively about that. [rolleyes]

I think I'm gonna get a laptop.  [:D]

90% of all my posts come from my computer at work.  I answer to two people and don't spend a lot of time around them.  I get my work done and put out all the fires so it does not really interfere with my work.  We don't have big brother software so I'm not too worried.

Life is good! [:D]

The company I work for builds some of the most sophisticated weapons in the world, from surface to air missile systems, fighter jets, helicopters, and space launch vehicles. I figure any shoulder fired rifle is pretty tame for them.

Most of the time, I post from work.  The City say's they don't care, so long as I don't go to porn sites.  Boo-Hoo!!  Being here 24 hrs at a shot gives you a lot of net time [:D] I do know that they have the 'Big Brother' software.  The Chief put up a overhead with all these nasty sounding porn sites on it, that had come from the fire station.  Names were blacked out to protect the guilty! He just said they would pull our internet access if it didn't stop.  [>(]  They did put most of the computers in public areas after that though!! He didn't think it was as funny as the rest of the guys when I asked if he could put it back up because I wasn't finished taking notes yet!! HEE-Hee   Tim L.     [):)]
