Manual crank. I think ATF claims ones with motors are full auto since you pull the trigger and it will fire till you let up or no more rounds.

The Calico’s are not Gatling Guns, Gatling Guns use rotating barrels like a GE Minigun but only hand cranked. Actually the Minigun is an electrically powered Gatling Gun. There used to be someone who made real .22 Cal. Gatlings. They looked like a table top model but were made out of either blued steel or brass and were mounted on a wheeled gun carriage just like they where the late 1800’s. The gun was equipped with a drum magazine on top and had a side crank that was just like the one on a full sized gun. When you turned the crank it would fire just like the large one. It was really a Gatling Gun but in a lot smaller size. If I am correct the brass one cost about $5,000 and the blued steel one about $2,500 and this was in the mid 70’s. I always wanted one but I can’t justify the expense at least at this time. I have a civil war to prepare for.

I saw one of these at a show. I guess it would be best from a table or something as this item only stands less than 2 feet off the ground.

LOL, I see I stirred up a lot of intrest, but has anyone ever played with one of these? The web site with the photo of the kid I see sells plans for the guns for $58. That would be good, but I wonder what the stuff costs to make it with milling and all. Damn the videos of the thing look damn cool. from that site, it looks like they are considered a class I weapon. No registration or anything.

OK Guys, here is the word......Parts kit $ 4,800; Assembled gun, sold as a rifle to an FFL $ 5,700; Assembled gun with carriage $ 10,900 Sorry but too much for me, I can get a Browning 1919 and an M-60 semi with lots of change...

I bought one of the Knob Creek special gatling guns. I picked up two used Ruger 10/22's with some 50rd Ram-Line magazines. When I first shot it, I got a major chubby! The thing is awesome and very reliable. Ruger 10/22's are easy to find and parts are readily available. Just my 2 cents for anyone who is interested in one of these.

I sent an email to rgg about there miniture 22 gatling gun....
Gatling Gun Plans Package This package consists of 34 individual drawings. Each drawing has a separate matching description sheet listing materials and sources as well as an explanation of the part's function and a step-by-step written procedure for making the part. The plans cover all parts, including everything internal plus the easy making of rifled barrels and authentic wooden spoked wheels. These drawings are not hand sketches or reduced photocopies, but top-quality blueprints drawn full-size and to scale, fully dimensioned and toleranced. Sectioned views are provided, along with enlarged details of small parts and complete final assembly drawings and instructions. Price: $58.00 USD (Overseas Air Post, add $18.00) Complete Materials Package All raw materials necessary for building the RG-G Gatling gun are included, with the exception of parts for the carriage and yoke mount. The only one I know of is sold out of J&G Sales,it's a Calico Gatling Gun,Twin Ruger 10/22's,complete with tripod and 2 ramline 25 rd mags,for the measly sum of $1498.50.

Unless the Gatling guns look EXACTLY like this one, its NOT a Calico.
