Hey guys I just thought all of you would want to read this absurd article and how they want to ban all new handgun sales that are NOT "smart" guns. It's passed the CA Senate and only needs to pass the House and be signed by Governor Red Davis (as Michael Savage calls him)
Please read this guys......

We should ban the sale of new mini-vans, unless they can detect a Tec-9 wielding idiot within, and automatically explode.

Tom Hayden is not longer in the Calf. St. Senate.  He was term limited out, and he tried to run for a seat in the Los Angeles City Council, but he lost to Jack Weiss.  So he is out of power. HA HA! >:)

Don't think that this is a "California" Only problem, many of the current Federal Gun Control Laws originated here and then down the road are enacted nation wide. "Smart" Guns could be all you see in a dealer's case down the road in your own state.........

There's no way to rule innocent men.  The only
power government has is the power to crack down on
criminals.  When there aren't enough criminals,
one makes them.  One declares so many things to be
a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live
without breaking laws.

Come on guys don't mess with the members from California. Lets remember we are on the same side. I feel sorry for them. Let them serve as an example of what happens when the Government is totally out of control. Don't let it happen in your state. Bitching at them won't help save your rights and it only make the members out there more frustrated. Lets give them a break here on AR15.com.
My .02 worth.
Good luck California Gun Owners. You damn sure need it!!!

Watching the actions of the fruits and nuts in sacramento its a wonder that someone hasn't gone postal on specific legislators. Perhaps it is time that instead of writing, calling, e-mails etc, it is time to picket their homes, level a personal campaign against them. Find all of the dirt on each of them, then expose them as the butt sucking socialist slimebags that they are. Don't give them a moments rest. Whereever they go have a sign in their face, pass out leaflets while they are having lunch. Hell, I would go so far as to set them up just as they have set up the honest citizen who believes in the right to keep and bear arms. Make their lives just as miserable as they do the good citizens of Kalif. The next step is to leave that socialist controlled state, I did many years ago, and I won't go back except for a day or two to see my granddaughter.

remember folks:
Those of us in CA who believe in the 2nd are outnumbered by brainwashed liberals and Hedonists who only care how comfortable they are, and how much they can get for free.
We fight as hard as we can, but as it has been proven, most of our state "representatives" do not care what we think, no matter what we do.

And if you tried to make a personal campaign against one of them, they would have you arrested as a gun crazy stalker.

There are some ways that CA has moved ahead, but mostly, CA has gone direction....sticking it's head up it's A#$!

Redneck, you are absoloutly right. I have been telling everyone I know that people dhould quit whining about it and do something. Do you listen, no. Don't have pitty for the people in PRK, if you sit back and get reamed and don't anything about it it's your fault. Some one will find a loophole and start sneaking their way around the new law. The "not unsafe" handgun list, easy, someone out of state buys the guns, drives them to CA and transfers them. Because they were previously owned they are "used", and because the transfer is happening between 2 individuals, it's legal.

That's cool. That just means more Californians will be coming to gun shows in my state. The market will continue to boom, and the sissies will continue to send us their banned gooies ( like the NIB Colt SP1 I saw last week for$1400)

Those of you still living in CA from various reasons don’t be afraid to leave. My girlfriend and I got out. We now live in New Mexico and love it. Having been born and raised in the SF Bay Area I thought there would be a lot of things I missed, wrong! Neither one of us miss anything. New Mexico is beautiful and in many ways more beautiful than the Bay Area is today. People are actually friendly and have a sense of community. They are not just a bunch of transients looking to make a buck at the other guy’s expense.

Since we have been here, my girlfriend who is very liberal brainwashed, suggested that we get a US Flag to fly on holidays like so many of our neighbors. We got a couple’s membership to a local indoor shooting range and she took her first handgun training class last month. For her birthday “today” she got her first, very own, handgun, a Beretta 86FS in .380 auto with a tip up barrel and walnut grips. Not to mention a carrying case, 500 rounds of ammo, a belt holster, 2 additional magazines and a magazine speed loader.

Three weeks ago we went to a shooting competition put together by a guy associated with the New Mexico Gun Owners web site (www.nmgunowners.com) forum. A week ago we went to a friends ranch (also met him through the web site) and spent the day shooting and then barbequing.

She is beginning to see that gun owners are real people. That they enjoy their sport and have a real sense of family, Country and the rights acknowledged in the amendments to the Constitution. She wants to fit in! She is finding that the old CA views do not. These things would have never happened if we stayed in CA. This is not meant as boasting, but only to show that once you get past the fear of moving you might really be surprised as to the benefits.

Some may say, “if all the conservative gun owners left CA there would not be anyone left to fight the battles”. Well I tried for years and felt very alone in my efforts. Once I realized the war was lost the next step was oblivious. The good news is, the last person out of CA won’t have to worry about turning the lights off  (that is a stolen line from another forum).

I've only lived in CA for 5 years, but I find it sad that there are those who keep saying, "you californians did it to yourselves", etc., what states and country are they from? What have those people done to prevent gunlaws in their state/country? Redneck... how many riots have you participated in for pro-gun causes? You sound like your just blowing hot air. Please let everyone here know how hard you fought against the AW ban Clinton passed. I now have the experience of knowing that all the warnings given me when I was leaving Alaska have come true. I'm doing what I can, not just in California, but on a nationwide basis.Too bad for those with the bunker mentality, you seem to be intent on rewriting what it means to be an American ( i.e. only in MY state).

Prior to the Assault Weapons ban I Drove down to
DC and personaly spoke with the Congressman from the 10 district of PA Joe Mc Dade. He voted for it anyway. I tried to meet with Senators Santorum and Spector but only got to speak with an Aide.

Redneck,
I really do admire that you went to DC and told your reps what you think.  More Americans should do that.  Many of us in the PRK do the same things yet your statement above makes it sound like we don't do enough.

I do not consider myself a slave.  I'll continue to fight the fight from within the borders of this beautiful state.

Well, while it is NOT relating to firearms, I am working very hard on land use rights. Six of us (yes I did say 6) are setting up a protest / rally in S Oregon to complain about the closing of public land (www.dredgeearthfirst.com). And Yes, I have been to gun rallys. Ans YES, I do think it is the fault of people in California for all of the things that are going down hill there. I do feel sorry for the people there who have tried to fight the changes, but if it is that bad, then move.

That's a brilliant statement!  I'd venture a guess that most of the folks on AR15.COM are upset about all the Federal laws that violate our unalienable rights.  Should we just move to another country or should we stay and try to make things better?????

Nothing personal Aviator.  I'm a little frustrated right now.

Best of luck with your rally.

Th laws in Cali are not tolerable in my opinion. While I do not like the federal laws, they do not quite meet the intolerable bar yet. if they ever do, I will have given it my best to fight against them. If that time comes, then yes, I may move someplace friendlier to the things I like to do.

I do not suggest leaving at the first hint of something you do not like. You must, by all means fight first. But there comes a time when it is most certainly hopeless, and that time is now for California in my opinion.

Thanks for the words of encouragement for the Prospectors Rally.
