Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Lower question for the Colt experts

Today I purchased a Colt lower sight unseen. The only thing that the owner told me was that it was marked AR15A2, and did not have a sear block. He thinks it is a Green label lower.

My question is this: Will it have the raised area around the mag release? Will it be a big hole or a push pin?

the problem here is the ar15a2 was a transitional gun.  most likely though - it's a big front pin, milspec hammer/ trigger holes, no mag fence aka 'slab side'

but ya never know - you might get lucky!

The AR-15A2's do not have raised fences or small push pins, nor do they have those offensive sear blocks - they have mil spec fire control.
