I got this from a Marine major who said it was taken in his friends Marine Tank Battalion, but didn't want to elaborate to which one exactly... I guess the PC police might take offence.

I understand that they are panels very reflective to NVG's... so our tanks glow to fellas like appaches... so they don't shoot them... and the velcro is to allow panels to be placed over them if and when we fight somebody who's got Night Vision... but I'm no tanker. |
