Sure it works for some, but then again so does hypnotism. It does not cure a damn thing, it may relieve temprory pain but its all in the head.

Beg to differ, though I'm reeeeeeal hesitant to post this.
Here goes--
I have a best friend who is a licensed acupunturist. He has all but abandoned the needles in favor of a small device which stimulates the same points with a non-painful, barely-felt electrical stimulation. (As an aside, he stuck a needle in me once too and I literally did not feel it.) Now, here's the weird part--I began shooting at an NRA-sanctioned "Junior Rifle Program" at age 12 (currently age 45). This was done in an
indoor basement range--and as it was in the Dark Ages, no hearing protection was required--suggested and recommended, not required. (
) I didn't wear them, as it affected my cheek weld. BIG mistake--for many years my hearing was at the bottom of the "normal range." "HUH?" was my favorite expression. Now, we all know nerve damage is permanent, irreversible and not treatable. Well, my friend has spent two years doing acupuncture on my ears and it has actually improved my hearing to a rather drastic degree--20 dB in one ear and 30 dB in the other. I was tested at the beginning, at a "Miracle Ear" hearing aid clinic ("Sorry, we can't help you, but you might want to come back in a year and be retested."), and then again after 1.5 years--same machine, same technician, etc. My hearing improved drastically. Now, this would cost a fortune, as he's treating me in his office three times a week, but at no charge, as he's a best buddy and views this as "experimental." The results are noticeable to me and others who have known me for years. Being a HUGE skeptic of such things, I am simply amazed--but cannot deny the obvious results. If this was told to me rather than living it, there is NO WAY I would believe it.
