My dog usually gets some scraps from whatever it is that I'm eating. Her favorite is nuts.

I almost always share a little with my pups.

Yes. But we have learned the hard/smelly way that there are some things that have no effect on the dog but KILL our noses later.

Just don't fee them chocolate, grapes, or raisins.  All contain chemicals potentially harmful to dogs. On a side note, not human food for my dog except when we're hunting and I give him a bite of a jerky stick or turkey sammich.

The only people food my dogs get is raw meat and raw bones.

She always gets some of what I'm eating. Its a "dog pack/pack leader" thing.

If I do, it is cooked meat only. Still not the best idea.

My two (spoiled rotten Chows) had beef stew over brown rice last night.  Come to think of it, so did I !!

Most the time my dogs do not get people food. However they are good for eating the pizza crust!!! Every once in awhile I run off duck hunting and forget the dog food. At times I have had to feed them expensive lodge burgers. (and I thought premium dog fod was expensive!!) I told my wife if I get a Master Hunter on my male lab that he gets a prime rib dinner!!

My cousins dog was annoying it would always sit there wanting food, Id never give it anything, but whatever you dropped it would eat, food, change, those packs of salt, anything.

One of our dogs gets his very own steak once or twice a month. Really makes him happy. Puts a swagger in his step for the rest of the day, I shit you not.

Another dog of ours went to the animal hospital three times for stomach pumping. Leftovers induced a condition known as garbage gut, which is either like bad indigestion or just a veterinarians money retrieval device, I can't tell.

Anyway, it makes me wonder about how good for us what we eat is.

My Vet said I nearly killed the best dog I ever owned that way.  I gave her some of everything I ate--along with a normal Science Diet portion every day.  She ended up with pancreatitis--and nearly died.  The Vet blamed the "people food" I gave her.

And not the shitty food the Vet probably recommended. . .

... Absolutely not, these are the first dogs I've ever had that have a very strict diet of engineered puppy food including a regimented feeding schedule. Makes life much better for all involved - can't miss what do never had and they grow up healthier.

Only if they are lucky enough to grab the food that might  fall to the floor before I'm able to pick it up and throw it in the trash.

My German Shepard has never had any people food.  I have read that it is not as good for the dog as good dog food.  I have also heard the poop won't stick as bad with dog food, which I have found to be true.

I can set a steak on the floor in front of my dog and walk away and she won't even touch it.  I had some Huskies that I gave table scraps to and they begged all the time.  Went camping with some friends once and my male Huskie went over to their camp and stole a package of steaks off their camp table.

I don't but my grandson does when he visits.  The dog sits right under the high chair and the little shit gets a kick out of  dropping food for him.

Funny, I too had a spoiled cream colored Chow, and I gave him the same thing!  It gave him the runs, and I spent the next day day cleaning it off his back leg and ass fur.  God I miss that dog.
