My Desert Eagle (only .44 mag. Have to buy the .50AE barrel soon http://pff.hostkansas.com/pffimages/DEside.jpg
This is the AK after adding the side folder stock (anyone want to buy a Fiberforce stock set? http://pff.hostkansas.com/pffimages/AKfolded.jpg

I have yet to purchase an AR-15, but have been wanting to do so for a while now. It seems like I find something else whenever I'm ready to buy one. The Daewoo and Desert Eagle both took my AR money higan

It's a registered pistol. Why would it need an AOW classification?

Thanks. Now, what is an EBR? (I know I'll kick my self and say "Oh yeah" when you tell me.)

A pistol with a forward grip is an AOW.  That is an unregistered NFA weapon.  Delete that picture, edit your posts, and take the forward grip off that tec-9 before the feds come to shoot your dog

Are you 100% certain of that?

Do you have the text of the definition?

Here is what I've found so far:

Any other weapon. - The term "any other weapon" means any weapon or device
capable of being concealed on the person from which a shot can be discharged through
the energy of an explosive, a pistol or revolver having a barrel with a smooth bore
designed or redesigned to fire a fixed shotgun shell, weapons with combination
shotgun and rifle barrels 12 inches or more, less than 18 inches in length, from
which only a single discharge can be made from either barrel without manual
reloading, and shall include any such weapon which may be readily restored to fire.
Such term shall not include a pistol or a revolver having a rifled bore, or rifled
bores, or weapons designed, made, or intended to be fired from the shoulder and not
capable of firing fixed ammunition.

From what I see here, it's not classified as AOW. I'll look some more and post my findings. I appreciate this being brought up. I try to keep my stuff as legal as possible. I like to be able to shoot my stuff and not worry about going to jail.

It doesn't fit the federal defintion of a handgun anymore since it is designed to be fired with two hands because of the forward grip (not my decision, that's what the ATF thinks).  If it doesn't meet that exemption (designed to be fired with one hand) it's an AOW.

No need to defend bringing it up. I really appreciate it. I know that a lot of gun laws are misunderstood and I like to see it in writing when anything is in question. You provided the documentation to show that it was classified as AOW. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Like I said, I want my guns to look good, but most importantly, I want them to be legal. I would hate to be out shooting and get thrown in jail for something I didn't even know. The forward grip will be removed when I get home. I don't need an unexpected visit from the feds. Thanks again.
