July 9th is the UN Gun Rights Conference. They are affirming the individual global citizen's right to own firearms for self defence.

You will be assimilated.
Despite what the UN says, they only want to love you. Can't you see, scaredy cats? Xenophobes. There is no place for dissent. We are Borg. We will be one. |

NYshooter,
Yes, but why wait the extra couple of days when the hardcore action is more likely to happen at the signing on the 9th.<<<--- if I didn't get my dates mixed up? View Quote good point! i was under the impression that the meeting began on the 9th, and ended on the 16th IIRC...but wait! if they sign on the 9th, why have the rest of the meeting at all??? do me a favor and keep me posted on what you find out, i'll make a few calls and get back to you too. the TRT is planning on the 14th, but i'll re-check that. |

It funny all the former and active duty military say there is no such thing as the above mentioned. But all the tin foil hat wearing, new world order fearing, gun shop commandos say there is. Kind of makes you think doesn't it.

Yah, but the point is that most of the things some claim are happening are not they are just either just paranoid, or have a political/finacial agenda.
I know just about ever post that someone has made about what the Marine Corps is doing in regard to the UN or the "NWO" is just BS. |

You weren't aware of any oaths that you took, swearing allegience to the UN, until AFTER you got out of the military? The Constitution was required reading for Marines. |

I have got to agree with Maj Murphy. I was a Lt at TBS I was issued a copy of the constitution and several books concerning the constitution. In the FMF, I have had to give numerous PME to my Marines concerning the constitution, legal and lawful order etc. I don't know if it is it done in the other services, but I know it is not unusual in the Marines.

|
If i remember correctly, the 9th was identified as the day that the UN recognized as a kind of "World Disarmament Day" and they were supposed to destroy some small arms as a symbol.
It was further proposed, on this forum, that we shooters take this day as our own, and call it "Buy a Gun Day", in protest. Works for me. |

I posted awhile back about my future brother-in-law that is a Marine that said he would go door to door and confiscate firearms from American citizens if he was ordered to do so. Although I misquoted the question that I was refering to in the questionaire given to Marines at Twenty-Nine Palms, the fact that answered like that tells me he has no idea of what it means to defend the Constitution. Perhaps he's the exception. I also know several military people that think they should be used in the War on Drugs. I'm almost certain that this goes against Posse Comitatus. When I was in the Air Force, I had several discussions about having the military used for law enforcement, which I thought was a good idea at the time. It wasn't until after I got out and actually started to read about these things that I realized how wrong I was. |
|
The military can be used to provide assistance, normally logistics, equipment and observation only, to civilian authority if the civilians have said it is a drug case. That was the excuse used use in Waco.

You must think in 3 dimensions...just imagine that each ring is further away as you get closer to the centre...This places South america Australia and Africa closer to you whild Europe and North America ( including Canada) are futher away...Imagine that you are looking down a long pipe and the world is draining into it.....?????? Wait just a sec!! The world is going to the sewer!!! So this is an accurate picture of reality!!! |

I think, that some of you guys should move the computer into a room that has windows, so you can see at least a little bit of the world.
That you should be cynical of all "news" whether it is from the "liberal mainstream" press, the militia movement, or the Weekly World News. You seem to dissmiss the mainstream media as dufus's when they report on RKBA, or the UN. But you accept what they say instantly about police officer's actions. And when you blindly accept pictures National Guard equipment with "^" markings as a UN invasion force, when they are just back from Europe waiting to get repainted by the US troops that operate them.... Apply cynicism equally. The US Goverment, and by that I mean all levels, city, state, county etc, are more of a threat to your 2nd Amendment Rights than any other group. Do you all vote?? If you don't your helping others decide who gets to placed into policy making positions. Ask RKBA people if PRK is a nice place to live in. Non-voters only have themselves to blame. I live in a city where it is illegal to sell handguns. I don't like that at all, but I vote to keep a further erosion of my right from occurring. The UN had nothing to do with it. |

They all got together around a drained swimming pool. The Air Force general looked at an airman and said.... "climb up that high dive ladder". The airman did. "Walk out onto the diving board." The airman did. and to test that airmans loyalty the general said "now JUMP!!"... The airman jumped from the highdive into the drained pool a landed with a most dissagreeable "thud" at the bottom. The Army General said, "no problem, watch this"... and ordered the same of his E-1. The private did as he was told for honor and country. He too landed with a "thud" at the bottom of the drained pool. Then the Marine general ordered his private up the ladder. The private did it. The general ordered him to the edge of the high dive diving board. The private did it. The Marine General ordered... "JUMP!!!" To to the surprise of the other generals the private just stood there. The Marine General said "I said JUMP PRIVATE!!!" The Marine Private looked at the general....gave him the finger and said "F&ck You!! The moral of the story..... Well there are many. I'll let you decide. |
