I'm sure this has been addressed many times in the past, google has even responded to it. Anyway, google has been activly filtering out firearm related searches as well. I've been searching for various well known gun accessory manufacturers over the past few days, and can't find them with google. On a whim, I checked on yahoo using the same search and in most every case the mfr that I was looking for was at the top of the list. Try it the next time you're looking for something.

Could help us a little by giving a few names that don't come up on Google, but do come up on Yahoo.

I noticed yesterday that when I tried doing a search on WWII shotguns on Google, the only results I got was one page of advertisements for books on WWII, several pages of recent news articles about events in WWII, and about three dozen porn sites.

Do you have "safe search" or what ever it is turned off?

No need really, if you are looking for something, try them both next time. Google won't care what you think anyway. They are funded by porn advertisers & online casinos judging by all the responses to searches. Try clarks custom for an example.

Sometimes you need to use "advanced search"  to find what you're looking for.
