I would like to hang my pistolas on the door but haven't found any good looking display hooks. What did you guys use?

I stuff them in gunsacks and stack them like cordwood.

I've seen plastic/rubber coated metal racks that are pretty cool, never got around to buying them.

I don't like the hooks, but I've seen some pretty cool door mounted holsters.

I haven't done this yet but plan to soon. Buy some of those socks that you wear with shorts and sew some velcro to them and the door.

since getting into milsurps i had to make my safe a full longun safe with a shelf on the top. i have to keep all my handguns in their original boxes stacked up on that shelf. ive got about 12 slots left in a 36 gun safe.

That's kinda cool fight4yourrights.  I've seen a little wire one that Bass Pro sells that's sort of the same as that, except they store muzzle down.

Don't have a digital camera, or I would show you how well it works, but I use a cheap, powder coated "plate rack" from the dollar store.  It's basically a bunch of triangle wires held apart at about 1 1/2" by two wires just one inch off the bottom.  The handguns sit muzle down with the grip facing the door.  I can quickly grab any one of them.  It's cheap, doesn't scratch anything, holds up to 12 guns (only have 5) and it works better than most of the set ups I've seen at the gun shops.

I use these, very nice, get a couple of the four guns over the six guns, they take up too much room.

How about something like a hanging fabirc show SHOE rack - pockets for each handgun, on a large panel that attached to the door's interior face with snaps.
Wouldn't be hard to make, for only a few bucks...

I need to come up with some hooks to put on the inside of the door, as 6 spaces for handguns, for me, is a joke!

10 Gun safe my arse!!!  I think I had 19 in there at last count! Buwahahahahahahaha!!!

I keep mine in the upper closed longgun slots in the back of my safe on the side without longguns (shelving) if that makes any sense, fit slick barrel down and magwell facing the door.

Don't use the sack/sock/pocket style holders (or cases) if you can help it. Fabric, leather, and foam can absorb oil and/or hold moisture, which can lead to rust. Sure, maybe your guns have been stored that way for X decades, which is nice, but still not ideal.

I use cheap nylon hosters from Passport and velcro them to the carpet on the door.

Loaded and ready at hand this way, safely and securely.

In my concrete vault, they are simply laying on a shelf.

I got a cheap plastic desk organizer from WalMart (the kind that holds files vertically).  It works just like the vertical pistol racks.
