Are you asking for what you'd LIKE to see unveiled, or what actually WILL be unveiled?

(paraphrasing from another thread:) A new caliber that the gun writers will write up for 6 months like it's the best thing to happen to firearms but then fall flat.

Ref: the .45 GAP.

You may consider this a "prediction" thread, or a "wish" thread, but what I'd like to see is some solid "preview" information.

I have a catalog in front of me listing a Mini-FAL, of which I have heard nothing about.

Hubby's going to that. His work is sending him. I guess it's nice to work for a gun store. He's excited.

With the AWB ban gone, I think this may be the most interesting year in awhile. FN leaked out the P90 and F2000. I just wonder how many companies decided not to leak anything out.

I was on hold with DSA the other day and a recording was announcing a new "FAL in .223 that uses AR15 magazines".  Sounds like a FNC to me.

Nothing new here.  Back around '94 Springfield was importing a SAR48 (or maybe 4800) which was essentially a 5.56 FAL with a thumbhole stock.

That's a wrist cracker for sure.

Why not splurge and get the 4 inch 500 S&W?

I saw on another website that Springfield is coming out with a double stack 1911 style pistol in 45 GAP. Why? Who knows. The thin grip of the 1911 is one reason I like them.

For some reason we are the only country with an open market that Swiss Arms will not sell the 550 series rifle too. SigArms has wanted to for years but Swiss Arms will not let them for reasons unknown. I say find Swiss Arms web site and flood them with e-mails. Sig is a company full of good people and I feel sorry for them having to watch a market saturated with assault weapon buyers, and not be able to join because their owner company refuses them the right. So e-mail Swiss Arms and tell them how you feel.

Sounds more like a FAL scaled down to use .223 ammo.  The FAL and the FNC were both designed by FN, but that's where the similarity stops.  An FNC is not a .223 FAL by a long shot.

The surprise of the show…

HK announces the civilian XM8 and a previously unknown civilian use 30 round .50 cal BMG. The also publicize and donate 20 million dollars to a campaign intended to lift the 1986 Automatic weapon ban.

Oh, and they are going to make the MP5 for the civilian market at their new Georgia plant. They are also talking to Wal Mart about carrying the civilian MP5 (call the CMP5) for 999.95$!!!!

This is true, but that one was a full-size FAL receiver with a magazine adapter in it.  A truly scaled down FAL would be neat.
