Do you have to have a medical physical every year, what about drug tests? My SIL is in LE and she is very overweight. She has gone to the hospital a few times for the prob associated with it. Now I know the dept payed for her med expenses but why. It seems easier/cheaper  to have the officers stay in shape vs. pay for the associated med bills.

Do any departments have such a standard, what about the SWAT guys.
