wasn't his "-" key stuck down? on another thread, someone said that if he typed fast enough, he could avoid the "-"s from popping up, but when he paused for a second, the "-" would start again.

I have two theories.
First, he learned to type on an old teletype machine. If you didn't constantly type something, it would disconnect after a few seconds. So old teletype messages looked like this: "Dear Wilber---- I am writing you today because Aunt Kathy contracted-----I can't think of the name, one moment---------------------- genital herpes, that is it.------- and wishes you to know that if she ever sees you again---- she is getting the old shotgun from the attic.------ Sincerely yours----Bob." The second, and most likely, theory, is that it's just plain hard to type with your head up your ass. |
