I don't understand why Bushmaster and Armalite and all the others restrict 20 and 30 round magazines for LEO's but they will sell 40 rounders to the public. Does anyone know where I can get legal 20/30 rounders for ar??

Those 20/30 round mags are postban, and for LEO use only. The 40 round mags are preban,a nd available for anyone. You can get the preban 20/30 round mags from users on the for sale forums, or local dealers, or gun shows.
