I've seen people posting about the someday when the second ammendment is interpreted to its original intent.  Most talk about how they would have an M-60 or Bren or M-16. With manufacturers free to develop new gewgaws for the masses do you think that you would still buy the old stuff?  Would the thrill of owning a "once banned" weapon over ride the desire for the newest whizbang bullet hose?

The pawn shops will be filled with everything we once owned to run a household just so we could afford ammo!

M-16A2 with Beta-C magazines and M203 40mm grenade launcher, RPG-7, M-79, M-60, M-249 SAW, Calico 9mm submachine gun with 100-rnd magazines, PP-2000 SMG, LAW rockets, and my very own tank in the backyard. Oh, and hand grenades, of the frag and W-P varieties. Lots of them. And a Browning .50 machine gun.

There'd be a patch on my land that looks like WWIII every time I went shooting.

Then again, if the Second Amendment hadn't been cripple all this time, there would have probably been a bigger market for firearms of all types in the US, which probably would have sparked R&D, which probably would have given up plasma rifles in the 40 watt range.

while the '86 ban would be gone, there is no reason to think that registration, CLEO sign-offs, and tax stamps would be proscribed: registration and administrative hassle does not deny you the RKBA.

Won't happen - too many sheeple willing to throw our rights away - we need to STAY on the offense if the AW ban is too stay sunsetted..........nevermind Class III becoming "normal firearms"

.....I think you can expect to see the same weapons around for either side of the equation - full 2nd Amendment rights reknewed = every kind of firearm known to man being finally possessed legally.  Totally ban guns?  Same firearms in private - unless your a sheep...................because then - it WONT matter if your gun has a bayo lug or not.........I will never be disarmed though

What's "enough" is a policy question--not a constitutional question.  They could permissibly go a lot further

The M60 is the Destroyer, the M48 is the Patton.

I agree. And untill we have those. NOTHING else they try to adopt in the military will be enough of a justifiable difference. (ie xm8 german pos)
