And a bit more recently, mostly from Japeth's family, but a few relatives from Shem's side. If you're chinese, I'll bet you stand a chance of tracing your lineage all the way back to Shem, by virtue of it being a remarkably old and undisturbed culture. I've heard that one of my ancestors was John Stow (of liberty Bell fame). I don't know this for a fact. But on my mother's side of the family I have at least one ancestor who fought in the Revolutionary war and two who fought in the Civil War (for the Confeds). |

My mother's brother-in-law is named Karl Walther. I saw him wearing a Walther (as in the gun company) hat one day and asked about it, he said there *MIGHT* be a connection with him and the original Carl Walther (the gunmaker).

Get the fuck out of here! Buffalo Bill is like my fifth great uncle, need to check with mom. Mother's family on her mother's side came over with the original Mayflower crew. Mom and sis are DAR's. My mother's father's family came over turn of the last century as did my father's entire family. On dad's side we have numerous ties to Italian aristocracy including one of the cardinals who was Exchequer of the Vatican... talk about power... chief financial officer of the world's richest entity and largest landowner. |

Dad's side: 5th great uncle was Issac Hull, Captain of the USS Constitution during part of the War of 1812.
His uncle was Gen. Hull who very unsucessfully invaded Canada during the same war. Mom's side: Gen. Robert E Lee and "Lighthorse" Harry Lee are very traceable somewhere down the line. I would have to dig the book out to do it though. One of my 2nd cousins is a producer out in Hollywood. I see his name on the credits sometimes for TV shows. I'm so glad my family kept good records and we still have them. |

My kin settled Vanderburgh County, Indiana, now Evansville. Both former Ohio Governor James Rhodes and Senator John Danforth are cousins. The Rhodes side of the family has been traced all the way directly to King Charlemagne through his 14th nephew. |

 If you have never heard of him look him up he was one of the best boxers/barroom brawlers. He was murdered with a .22 in the back from someone who thought he was touching his girlfriend.  Yup, ya'll can kiss my butt |
