Okay, It's not that big of a deal to me finacially.  I can part with twenty bucks.  And U.S.AID has the list of organizations listed on its web site who are involved in the relief effort.
So what's the problem?  Well, I think that there are two.
1) Which one of these NGOs are NOT currently part of the United Nation's efforts to eliminate our Second Amendment rights?
2) Which one of these NGOs that meet the above criteria has a SECURE server?  Stupidly, they are not very forth coming about this server info as near as I can tell; it's a little frustrating.

I think I did send money..

I would think an e-mail to the NRA (oh my god - is there anything they can't do) might be able to generate a list of neutral-gun charities.

I say "neutral" because if you're looking for a pro-gun international relief charity, well, you're high.

Try giving aid through a church denomination. Most have a relief effort for this underway.

That is how I sent my contribution.

Again, giving through church denominations is your best bet.

Not all churches are anti-gun.

I gave at the office : Federal Tax withheld

One or the other, either leave my charities up to me or give on my behalf, but not both.

Neutral would be great, I know that NONE of them are pro gun.  In fact, anti-gun is not totally off the table, as in the case of the American Friends Service Commitee (I can respect, although disagree with, a religious conviction against self defense.  I just can't stomach a purely political opposition to it.)
I've been to their web site as a matter of fact, but they don't say whether or not their damn server is secure.

I'll be paying for the Tsunamis the rest of my life - along with all the other taxes I pay - if I am going to contribute above and beyond what the federal government rapes my enlisted military ass of - it's going to be to help AMERICANS. That's right - Americans - I am a selfish ass I guess - I care more about Americans being alive and well - f#ck the whole liberal guilt complex bullsh#t.

Let the rich leftist Hollywood sh#tbags handle this one - put their money where their liberal mouth is for once.

While we are at it, lets return the "Statue of Liberty" back to France - they can take our tired and poor. I am all for legitimate immigrants coming here to work hard and make a decent life for themselves. Thats awesome. BUT we are not the dumping pot of the world. My taxes are paying for millions of ILLEGAL immigrants to use our heath care system among other things. My concern is not focused overseas - we have too many internal problems.

Now, why woukld I send money to crooks?  I am not foolish enough to think that the money will ever be spent on, or get to anybody that actually needs it.

Why is the US spending tax dollars,  this is blantantly unconstitutional.  Private funds I can see but tax money -- i don't think so.

I'm not a democrat.

I just don't care for the modern day Republican Party; socialist lite was never ok in my book.

now Representative Ron Paul...now there is a real republican, unlike these little quasi-liberals running around with a big R next to their name.
