Here's a salute to all the fathers.

Some ideas:

1. Enjoy the good times you have, or used to have with your kid(s).

2. This is your day - don't let anyone, including you, ruin it for you

3. Take pleasure in the small things.  Even a phone call is better than nothing.  You're the adult.

4. If your hopes that you'll be remembered aren't realized, don't get bitter - sometimes children have trouble thinking of people other than themselves.  It doesn't mean you raised them poorly - maybe they're just at that age.

5. Take some time to remember your own father, living or dead.

6.  I know two young men and a woman who never got to know their dads.  Maybe you do, too.  Let's think about what we can do for them the rest of the year.
