I am thinking of switching my Daily carry gun.
I am currently using a Glock 20-
15 Rounds of 10MM-
Appx 630 FPE each round-

I am looking for a superior handgun to carry.
Any suggestions?

Really, if you want to sell it, i'll but it, but be aware that I paid $150.00 for the last one.

My Charles Daly was purchased at 5:30 PM on Tuesday and returned at 11:00 AM on Wednesday.

I didn't even own it for 24 hours...
I couldn't get it to feed by hand when I brought it home, then it fell apart the next morning when I first shot it...
It was immediately returned, and traded in on a beautiful .40 cal 96FS Beretta that shoots like a dream...

The ink on the paperwork/transaction was still wet...

Smart man. There is no reason to keep one of those things at full retail price.
They would requite too much work just to make them marginal- Enough $$$ that you coulda bought a Springfield in the first place [:)]
Smart move IMO ditching the Daly

Upgrade from 10mm Glock? How about a cut down 105 mm Howitzer?

10 mm has .357 magnum (like) ballistics in an auto loader...what more do you want?

I agree with Archoo.  A USP Compact 40.  I love mine in my humble opion one of the better guns.  Good accuracy and easy to conceal.  Also their locking system is great when you are storing it and don't want anyone to have an accident.

Er, try .41 Magnum with Normas---
Certian Light Grain Specialty ammo hits around 1000FPE, or that of a .44 Mag...

I'm just lookin for someone out there to justify a better gun then this.

I recommend and use a Glock 21 with 45 acp Golden sabres from remington! By looking at actual shootings nationwide with this round it's been determined it has a 96% one shot stop rate! and being slower ballistically it isn't as likely to get you sued by overpenetrating and hitting innocents.

Now with a screen name like growing grass, I would think that the G20 would be the perfect gun already. Say, fer instance, you are going to the woods to check on your favorite agricultural zone, and there's a bear lying in wait for the deer that graze on the local (or should we assume "loco"?) vegetation. You are stylin' with 16rds of 10mike-mike.
Or, prehaps, you are going to meet a business associate at a secluded beach or airstrip. If things go bad, few guns reach through cars, boats and airplanes like the 10.
Then again, if you are just a simple gardener, maybe you could settle on a nice .38 snubby to pack while you mow lawns and dig ditches.

Go with the Glock 29...smaller and still controlable and you can use your hi-caps for backup  [^]

You couldn't mistake the Mc Prose. Same McCrap
from ole McClapTrap. "pathetic mcloser" theme in
the background. Things must be really tanking
at his site for a guy to have to create as many
alias as he has and then weave them all into a
thread to make it appear that "real people" are
posting.

njogi,

I hope you aren't serious about your carry habits.

[thinking] Lemme guess:

Mon - Strong side mid ride thumbsnap
Tue - Vert. Shoulder
Wed - S.O.B.
Thur - Horiz. Shoulder
Fri - Crossdraw
Sat - Dayplanner Off-body carry
Sun - "Mexican" carry (no holster) [;)]

Listen, I'm joking, but I thin you see my point.  I hope that if you get into something REAL BAD (which I hope you never do), that you remember which gun you have, and how to manipulate it, as a reflex action.

There is a saying, goes something like:
"The deadliest man is the man with only one gun"

I hope you train every day (and twice on Sunday, for the Desert Eagle) and are wealthy enough to afford to.

No flame, just fact,

Urban [:)]

As far as a samller Glock(27 vs 29), the hi vel 40 S&W regularly clocks higher velocities with the same bullet weights than the 10mm out of the mini-Glocks.  Stick with the 27 if you want a little gun.  (Corbon 135gr seems to work well).

Desert Eagle .50 AE is serious heater. A bit much for concealed carry though.... [:D]
