Poor guy...  Getting ready to have lunch here in the Atlanta area.  Monday afternoon at the Main Post Office beckons after that.  Sweat, hardwork, no fun till 2300 tonight.

I'm in the exact same boat LT. The bad thing is that I've been doing this for about 3 months now. I'm facing getting a McDonalds job just to pay the bills. I've been lucky to be able to take up man days at the Air Guard to fill the time and wallet but those are all burned up. I've got head-hunters in the Omaha area doing some work for me but it's been really dry. Everyone is waiting to hire until earnings predictors are up. This sucks and I'm getting nervous about it.

Im just sitting here at home on the internet getting paid for it, because I hurt my ankle playing softball last Monday and I can't make it back to work yet. About to go see the specialist in an hour. Hope there is no surgery in my future.

Killing time before my C++ class.  I should be figuring out how to include an IF/Else statement in a for loop but AR15.com is more enjoyable.

Enjoying the confusion of being a college kid employed by a defense contractor and being responsible only to the VP until some paperwork comes back, and she doesnt care what I do as long as the NT network keeps running (paperwork ETA: 2-3 months [8D]).  Its gonna be a long summer browsing the net while getting paid...

Well about 3mos ago I left the bank to come to TX. My job here changed after a while so I had a meeting with the powers that be and we decided it was not my bag. So I left Fri. Search under my name and you'll get to catch up if you're bored.

I'm sitting out Allison's wrath right now. I broke my back 2 months ago, and until last wed. was on medical leave. Light duty now, but due to the severe weather, I stayed in and watched the execution circus. It just reinforced my views on the majority of the press. At least Fox is a bit better than the rest of the pack.

LT, do not move back to California.  I don't know that much about the Texas economy, or your position...but it can't be that bad.  Don't make that mistake.

BTW, if your ever in the free state, I'd be happy to shoot with you.

Stubbs, I will stay here till my apartment lease is up. That is in Sept. I figure I'll have enough to get me by till then if I get something paying at least $10 hr. After that I will need something substantial. If nothing comes by then my only option is to move back in with mom cause I will be tapped out. So hopefully it doesn't come to that. However if there is oppurtunity in CA I will move back. I will just saved and move back out in 5 yrs or so. At that time I will definitely target FL

lordtrader,

Hope your situation improves.  The whole scenario sounds like an exact replay of what happened to me a couple years back.  I got sick of the political BS here in CA, left my job and moved to Nevada.  Unfortunately six months of dealing with corporate recruiters and sending out resumes netted me nothing but aggravation.  I totally underestimated what I was getting myself into.  The local economy revolved exclusively around casinos and the only jobs available were in the casino.  Few companies are willing to locate their operations in Vegas because of perceived problems with personnel due to the influence of 24 hour gambling and liquor.  No offense to anyone who works in a casino, but I didn't exactly spend 5 years in college so I could push around a change cart.

Finally after my lease on my apartment was up, I packed up and moved back home to CA.  I found a job within 2 months.  Of course the dot com company I was working for is now going in the tank, and I was laid off two months ago!  Now I'm back to square one.  I'm not in the computer business, but I can tell you that things have really slowed down out here as well.  Companies just aren't hiring sales people right now.  I've reached the point where I don't even want to look at the want ads because I know I'm just going to get pissed.  Oh well, at least I've got plenty of time for shooting now.  So for what it's worth, your not the only one.  Good luck.

Here ya go mtnpatriot:

int main()
{
 int i=0, limit=10; //iterators change as you wish

 for(i=0; i<=limit; i++)
 {
   //insert operational code here;

   if(condition)
      {
       //operation;
      }
   else
      {
       //operation;
      }
 } //end of for-loop

 return 0; //end of program
}
That's easy, it's file operations that are confusing, apparently my instructor wants me to write a program that can READ AND WRITE files. I've decided that nobody needs to save data, to much hassle to implement file handling.

LordTrader,

A few months ago I think you were the same one giving a buy rating on EXDS at 25+.  Only the strong survive in this field.  I wish you the best of luck!  Also have you passed your series 63 & 7 exams?  Do you have an MBA or greater?  One of the branches I think in Lexington, Ky is hiring a jr with the above qualifications.  I will try to find out for you and post.  Have you tried Edward Jones, I hear they are hiring.
