We now have an almost 10 seat lead in the senate, clearly have the house, and have a president in office that sat by and let the AWB die without any substantial cost in votes. After this monstrous defeat I doubt the Dem's will touch this controversial issue on the Federal level for a long long  time. Without a voice piece on the top I also think that state based measures to institute further gun control legislation have experienced a big set back.

I do believe that this is due in part to our vigilance. Never let up!
