California has 56% reporting...with a Kerry lead of 53% over 45% (They called California for Kerry SEVERAL hours ago)

OHIO has 97% reporting...with a Bush leading 51% to 49%....yet, Ohio remains open.

New Mexico has 99% reporting...with Bush leading 52% to 47%
...yet. New Mexico remains open.

yeah, i thought it was funny when everyone called cali for kerry with less than 20% reporting.

lol on CNN they just said they aren't going to project ohio until all the votes are counted.


so then how would it be a projection?

They usually got by % of precincts reporting, and not all precincts are the same size. If the remaining precincts are larege and urban they may go kerry.

I've been trying to figure that one out since I saw it but not sure what the issue is there either.
