A recount would have to have a close margin of .25%....I think thats the number.

Even if Kerry gets Ohio in a recount, Bush will probably still win.  Bush also has the popular vote.  Thats what the Democrats say is the most important.

That is half of what Florida's recount law is.  That is not many at all!

It's not close enough for a recount. Kerry will hang on but the election in Ohio is over.

If the regular vote in OH does not tighten up to 50,000 votes or less it ain’t going to matter what the Democrats do. Kerry will not be able to win mathematically .

You can bet on a recount. Ken Blackwell a TRUE republican and our next govenor will  nip the florida shit in the bud.

Kerry is contesting Ohio now, stating that the provisional ballots will put him ahead and give him Ohio. Baloney! The difference in votes is not within the 0.25% needed for the activation of provisional votes being counted - which means - his "lawyers" will demand that "every vote be counted" so the other voters aren't "disenfranchised". Can you spell F-L-O-R-I-D-A? Talk about your sore losers!

Their out is "He stole the uncumbency, so his re-election is still illegitimate."  Damnable crybabies the lot of them.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

Expect to hear about blacks and young people being truned away from polling centers in Ohio by evil white men with Bush badges.

Not enough provisional ballots to make a difference. No recount.

What the hell is the matter with the Kerry camp?

Oh, I forgot, the will of the people......all the votes must be counted, blah, blah, blah

After all their bitchin, moaning, and bullshit.  They are still going to lose.

I can't wait for the conspiracy theories to start.

I'll bet the lawyers are on the way.   News reports days ago said they had planes and lawyers at the ready and the Dems had a recount fund ~7mil and the Rep had ~10 mil

This is not good news. Lawyers and judges should not decide elections.

Even if it goes to provisional ballots - they still have to be proven to be legitimate. These people were given provisional ballots because they weren't properly registered and in the roll books.

They've only been saying that because of the 2000 election.  Their tune will change now, mark my words.

no way.  President Bush is leading by around 123,000 votes.  there has to be a margin of less than .25% for there to be a recount.  there are only around 150,000 provisional ballots, and the majority of precincts not yet reporting lean republican.

Supposed to be 250K provisional ballots.  Kerry would have to get 80% to overtake Bush.  Not likely.

180K for Kerry, 70K for Bush to take the lead.....he will probably claim Boston Miracle status..

The one thing everyone is forgetting is that sKerry is a parasite.  He is like a tick and he is not going to leave easily.  Not until someone like a judge tells him to eat shit.  Remember that this is a person that cannot think for himself and needs to ask/poll everyone around him to make a decision.  So if everyone around him is saying “hey you need to fight this” then robot boy will.  His actions in Vietnam clearly shows that he does not have a spine so he will not do the right thing and secede.

But Kerry would hav to take EVERY provisional ballot to come out ahead, correct? Not a very likely scenario.

The race is not close enough to trigger an automatic recount by Ohio law. Unlikely a judge would rule for one unless massive irregularity could be proven. Provisional ballot requirements have been tightened so only around 80-85% will actually be counted. From the 2000 election, they broke about evenly.

NO way Kerry can win. Period. Not there. Add in Iowa, New Mexico, and Nevada... this race is over.
