Kentucky almost lost one of its Republican Senators.  The Democrat was very pro gun but KY voters have such a distaste for the national Democrat party that he just couldn't quite pull it off.  Actually, I think that given a different national Democrat party, the Dem would have made a better senator than Bunning.
