I just got back from the polls, all old people.  But, I voted for Bush.  The kids at college all said they are going to vote Kerry, but they will probaly not even vote.

Since I live in MA my vote will not count  I wish I was in Ohio

Most of  my friends are voting for Bush. Almost all the kerry supporters are girls (which sucks for dating)

based on my classes, I'd say about 40-45% of the history majors in my school are voting for Kerry.

I waited an hour to vote here an my University.... at 8:00 AM!  It's only been getting worse.  The ladies at the polls (when I talked to them at 9) said they were already above what they had expected for the morning!  These are all college students (well 99%) and if I had to bet I'd say most of them aren't voting for Bush (due to Kerry stickers, some pretty crude statements to people in Bush shirts, etc)

many college kids will be too drunk or stoned to get out and vote...

I'm in school still, and I voted Bush this morning. My whole school is pretty conservative and I figure a lot of the ppl who want kerry wont even go vote.

I'm worried about the college vote.  Some students are registed to vote in two states.  They vote from their home state using an absentee ballot and they register to vote at the state where their college is.  Big potential for vote fraud.

it's the same every time, guys.  the new/young voters are always touted as the big push for the liberals ever single election.  they're already factored in.  

thing is, the youth vote is swinging right a lot more now than it has been previously.

Alot of the first time voters are young and they seem to favor Kerry, but I don't know by how big of a margin.  There is lots of speculation right now, we'll know for sure in a few more hours, hopefully.

Seems like there are plenty on campus that are voting for Kerry.
The had a bunch of signs hanging at the voting place saying "Voting Twice is a Fourth Degree Felony." Hopefully it sinks in with people that are thinking about doing what you said.

I am proud to say my 18 year old college freshman son voted for Bush.

I am in college.  I am proud to say I am voting in my First election along with my wife and we both voted W.

I'm one of the lucky college students.  Ignoring that my school is in Flint, Michigan, at least 60% of students here are Bush supporters.
Just one of the numerous reasons I didn't go to a liberal arts school.

Here in usually ultra-Liberal Gaineville, FL (U of F campus), support for Bush seems remarkably strong. Based on signs and sign wavers, the Kerry people have only a slight edge, if any. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I think that far more Conservatives are showing up on campus then ever before. The College Republicans are reportedly the largest political group on campus, larger then all the Liberal groups put together.

IMHO, the largest cause of this is the new media and the Internet. Liberal/Socialist ideas can only thrive in a total monopoly. Let the people get a taste of Conservatism, and the whole thing collapses. Well, their monopoly is gone, and it isn't coming back. It's easier then ever to find out what Conservatives really think, and harder then ever to lie about them and get away with it. The Democrats won't be able to survive it for long.

I can tell you for certain that a majority of those who vote at my school will be voting others besides Kerry. This is one of the few core Conservative Schools in the country. It's a shame my state's democratic party wasted so much money on flyers. I took one look and threw them into the trash. Go Bush!

According to polls, younger people tend to be more republican than their parents.

I'm a college student and I went and voted for GW as soon as my last class let out.  It was a Juvenile Justice class and the professor was wearing her John Kerry for president sticker.  I also live in MA, so even though my vote won't help Bush win the state, I voted straight Republican anyway as a "fuck you!" to the democrats.

the top secret rumor mill says the iowa new voters project (a dem backed "non partisan" 527 bent of the election of john kerry by registering voters of college campus) accidently registered 12000 republicans and 4000 democrats on iowas campusus. we had considerable concerns about regisration fraud, and had our lawyers involved, but the numbers look good, and i myself registered as a rublican with them, and my card came just fine, and i sucessfully voted. the myth of the liberal college student is slowly dying. i attend a private university thats in the top 5 schools in the region. our professors are highly liberal, and we have some noisy college kerry fucks, but the election is showing a close to even split, and alot of the rabid kerry supporters are the bandwagon looking for a place to belong types, and as soon as the election is over their political identity will desolve. We have managed to take over the college news paper. I currently hold VP of the Drake Chapter College Republicans (The same office held by former iowa governer Terry Branstad in 72 or 73, w00t) and my orginization, taking a page of the local gay club, staged a conservative "comming out week."

we had hundreds of young republicans marching around campus in "not fonda/kerry" shirts and such. we made sure they all voted early, and held other awareness events. We had a veiwing of "celcius 41.44" that packed a full sized movie theater, and a road trip to see Ann Coulter at Iowa State.

Thier IS hope for the future.
