First off, I finally got them to register in early August (rep of course).   Well I was alittle worried about them not going to vote this morning, cause her dad owns his own business and didn't want to be too late to open his store.

Well she called me around 10:00 and they just got back from the polls.  They waited in line for 30 minutes and when they got to the check in, there names were not in the book!!!!

Anyway, they took them aside and asked them if they had just moved???  They have lived in the same house for about 10 years.

But here comes the kicker:  The poll workers called the State of Florida and confirmed that they were registered.   They then had to sign some special paper work, and proof of ID.   And they let them vote!!!!
+2 for W

This is exactly why I did the early voting this year.  I moved at the end of Sept. and send my new reg in on Oct 1st.  As of Sunday I still had not recieved my voter guide and was very concerned that I would be registered in my previous district (about 20miles away).

I didn't want any of that provisional ballot crap, and with the early voting the workers HAD to look you up on the computers to print off your ballot for your specific precint.

Checked my mail Sunday (forgot Sat.) after getting home from the polls...and my voter guide was in the box.
