... other than English, in an instant with no effort, what would they be? For the sake of argument, let's say no fictional languages except for Klingon, because there are people who do speak that.
For me, they'd be Biblical Hebrew, Ancient Greek, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, and Russian. |
German, Italian, probably French even though most of you will wanna beat my ass for that, Polish and Lithuanian.
I already studied Russian, though I don't remember much.
I'd probaby go with Spanish, French, German, Farsi and Japanese. |
Chinese, Arabic, a Turkmen-based language, whatever they speak in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Then I'd go join the CIA. |
Already got German, Latin, Spanish (+ English)..... I dunno. Russian?

Please no one say Klingon. Consider this as a pre-emptive anti-klingon thingie.
Wow. Lots of people here want to learn Hebrew. In-ter-es-ting.
I can fumble through a few, but I'm not fluent in any so:
Spanish, French, Russian, Mandarin and Farsi. |
Farsi, arabic, pashtu, and whatever other heathen language our enemies speak. I'd also like to be 20 years younger and be able to put it to use.
American.
Oh wait I already speak that. So I guess I will have to pass on the opportunity to speak any other languages, because anyone worth talking to already speaks my language. |
Farsi, Arabic, Pashto, French, Italian |
Mandarin Chinese, Farsi, Arabic,Korean,Russian
As a side note, I saw an add wanting Klingon speakers to work in mental health facilities. |
Russian Japanese Arabic Mandarin Chinese Hindi These are the ones with different alphabets, and thus, are much more difficult for english speakers to learn. I can learn the Euro languages (GER, FRA, ESP) on my own. |
Hebrew - to read the OT in the original language
Greek - to read the NT in the original language German - Heritage Russian - For my friend Katya Mexican Spanish - It'll probably come in handy before long |
Arabic, Russian, Chinese, French, and Persian. It's good to be familiar with the language of your enemies.
Fookinese - Chinese Dialect, spoken by the current influx of Chinese "trouble" makers, always claim to not know any Engrish when dealing with us.
Japanese - So I can order Sushi without sounding like an ass Bulgarian - Have you seen the Bulgarian chicks walking around NYC Lately? Greek - See above. Exchange Bulgarian for Greek French - so I can phuck with the French tourists that come here. |

German
Spanish Russian Japanese Arabic Mandarin Chinese Alternative languages: Cantonese Korean Yiddish (however you spell that) Italian Greek (modern) |
Japanese, Latin, Scots Gaelic, Spanish, probably Mandarin. Japanese and Mandarin would help me in my martial arts studies. Latin is the scholars language (at least in the west). Scot's Gaelic is ancestral, Spainish is growing more and more practical, and while I'm none too happy about it, I believe it will be increasingly necessary to know and understand it. I took German and French in High School and College, but the Germans and French can go bugger themselves with a cattle prod...at least until they see reason.

Serbian, had an ex that spoke that and she was a hottie
French, so I could understand what they are saying behind my back German and Russian, to make the documentaries more interesting Ebonics, so I could understand a majority of Kerry supporters. |
Spanish, Latin, Italian (for the ladies), German, and Arabic.

Castillan is easy...you just speak spanish with a lisp. |
Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, German
Some of the most important other than English languages these days. Japanese may need to be changed out with Chinese. |
English is sufficient! If the rest of the world can't learn English why should we bother to learn their gibberish?

The only languages I need to speak I know...English and Redneck
So that when you're killing them you can understand and laugh at their pleas for mercy and reply in the appropriate tongue. Why else? |
