I arrived at 6:00. Was about 50th in line. Voting started at 6:30. By that time I would extimate 300 people in line. I left at 6:45. It was a blast, almost a rally atmosphere.

 I think we are. 10 min. and I was challenged --- can you believe it... The poll people said they could not find my name --- been voting in the same place every election for the past 20 years. they got it squared away in a short though. |

Got there at 6:50 and voted at about 7:15. Wasn't too bad but I'm worried about our state going ot the electronic voting. Some people are taking the cards with them and those are their ballots! No signs or anything to explain the new system. Potential CF in MD!

I got there 5 minutes after the polls opened and the line was down the hall. I got the last parking spot. There were at least 40 people ahead of me. One of the poll workers said she'd never seen a turnout like it. My wife went to vote an hour later and the lot was filled up and no places were open along the curb. The line was even longer. We've already had employees calling in late to work because of long lines into the polls. It's raining here in Indianapolis. That usually means good luck for Republicans because Democrats don't want to go out in the rain. They're afraid they'll float away. This could be a record turn out.

Polls open here at 7 AM. I got there at about 7:02, and the line was already out to the street - probably 50 or 60 people. There's something beautiful about that. It almost made me tear up. I came out of the building about 7:35. Oh, and the Marxists can stuff their early voting charade up their asses. There are plenty of real citizens out voting today.

Took just about 15 minutes. Definitely the busiest I have ever seen it and I have been voting at the polling place since 1985 (voted by absentee before then due to being a student). Also, instead of having two voting machines we only had one this time which added to the chaos.

Polls opened at 7:00, I got there at 7:30 and there were about 50 people in line. This is my third election at this polling place, and I've never seen more than 2 or 3 people in line. Interestingly, I was voter number 152 (same number as my LEGP and SEBR rifles!

Like they have anything better to do. In my opinion, it more greatly discourages people who work. I only had two hours off of work this morning to vote, and I didn't even make it in the building. It was about a 15 minute drive each way plus a 90 minute wait. From counting the people in front of me and assuming another black church bus didn't pull-up, it would have taken another 45 minutes to get to vote. That leads to the question of why did the poll only go up to 60 minutes? I haven't talked to anyone yet that didn't wait at least 45 minutes.z |

I was the first in my precinct.
In the door at exactly 6am and out the door at 6:04am. Not bad. Kudos to all the people behind me who had to stand in the rain. Voting for Bush or Kerry, at least they bucked a little rain to perform their civic duty. |

Took kids to school at 7:30am.
Picked up the wife and drove a block to polling station 7:50am. Started punching paper ballot 8:00am. Checked for hanging chads 8:07am. Back home posting on ARFCOM 8:20am. |

hell of a long line here in Mesa, AZ. Got off work at 6:15AM got to the gate at 6:25AM ( long ass walk to the friggin' gate ) and hit the line for thepolls at 6:40AM. LOTS AND LOTS of hardcore Americans standing in a REALLY long line to vote in my precinct and the one down the street. It was GREAT to see so many folks voting. Lots were calling in to work on their cell phones telling their workplaces that they were gonna be late. I liked that!!!!
Anyway, I didn't get home until 8:05AM, took forever to get through the line...the Partisan section of the ballot was a breeze but what held folks up was the Non-Partisan section for all of the Court offices. THAT TOOK FOREVER. Well, go GWB!!!! |

Longest lines I ever saw also.Outside the right to vote people were trying to give people encouragement to vote kerrykommie.They were pretty loud.....I walked by them.I dislike dims intensly.

I was 18th voter in my precinct, and it took me 30 min. The pole workers were really not ready for the line that formed. My wife went in to vote a half hour after me and it took here 45 min. She was vote 50 something. The turn out is already past the turn out for then entire primary vote. Looks like we may get a record turn out in my precinct. I hope a record nation wide.

They only had 4 voting stations and alot of old people couldn't figure out how to color in an oval with a pen. |

Took about one hour to vote... Quite a few people walked away when they saw the line, and I swear one college age girl said, 'I'm not waiting in this line! Kerry will just win without me'... She walked away... I smiled big time and cast my vote for every Republican on the ballot... |

We were seeing 1+ hour lines during _early_ voting in the Dallas area. It's raining today. I didn't check out the lines when I drove past the polling places this morn.
For early voting, the percentage of registered voters was very high around here. Of the four counties mentioned on the news, this was the turnout: Dallas 22% Tarrant 33% Denton 36% Collin 41% For those of you who don't know the area, the last three are HEAVY Republican.  BTW, it took me 45 min in early voting. I couldn't find a parking place the first time I went. The following morning ... still very few spots. |
