I am not trolling here. I am a staunch Republican, NRA member, and swiftboat contributor, but reality set in yesterday. In 2000 about 50% of the population voted and it was basically 50-50 for each party. Not much in this area has changed. What about the other 50% that did not vote? Well, they were the slackers, the lazy, the indigent, the homeless, the migrants, the illegal alien, etc. That is why they did not vote! You know, these types of people are the future Democratic party members. How can they turn down food stamps, welfare, tax breaks, fed. childcare, free education, medical benefits. The list goes on. This former slacker group has now been mobilized. We have become a socialist country where we have more people getting entitlements than working. More and more are government employees. The general mindset of the population is "the government owes us". Everything is motivated by pork. We are left wallowing in the Clinton morality legacy. Only economic collapse will set things right. It is only a matter of when it will happen.

I think ammo day is in the next week or two. Good timing, Since JFK can't take our guns, ammo is on his list. Buy it now before the price goes up.

P.S. just read the book " Enemies - Foreign and Domestic". Great Book!!! on par with Patriots. You could actually envision this scenario in our country. Very Scarry Kerry

Mmmmm.  Maybe we should run for cover.  Nah - I think I'll go out there and get in line myself.

If cookies are the best security they can come up with in online voting, we're fucked.

Kerry should be in prison - not running for President.

Dubya will win.

50% of the population did NOT vote in 2000.

With all of the new voting registrations, it is estimated that today may bring 100,000,000 to the polls. There's 300,000,000 in the USA. 25% are under voting age. That leaves 225,000,000 of eligible voting population.

You're looking at maybe 30% of the population voting today... max.

I hope you're wrong, but I'm inclined to agree.  I've mentioned before that I've got a buddy who's voting for the first time primarily because the Justice Department cracked down on the sale of bongs.

Agreed.  I've never seen so many black churches busing in voters.   I live in a predominately white voting district (about 75% white), but more than 75% of the voters there this morning were black.  Also, many (most?) of the whites I saw left without voting, like I had to do.  I only had two hours away from work, and after waiting 90 minutes and not even making it to the door, I had to leave.  None of the blacks were leaving early since their bus wasn't going to leave until they all voted.  At the rate we were going, I think I could have gotten to vote in another 45 minutes of waiting.  I am very afraid since voting seems to have turned into something that only the out of work can do.z

whatever, this country is still predominantly conservative. It's the truth even if Kerry wins. Just watch, conservatives control congress and in 4 years(if kerry is elected this time) there will be a good candidate there to win back the white house.
