I just had to tell someone, so I figured I may as well bump my post count while I was at it.  


I fixed the cruise control in my 1983 Mercedes 380 SEL.  And as we all know, those Germans take perverse pleasure in making things an unGodly mess of wires/vaccum lines/whathaveyou, so this was no easy task.  Its located under the dash, and an unholy bitch to get at/get out.  Imagine trying to change the sparkplugs on a 1955 straight-6 from the bottom, while lying on soft-ball sized pointy rocks.  Yes, that kind of bitch.


So, I resoldered each joint on the Amplifier board, and huzzah!  It works!  I was giddy with pride and a tremendous feeling of accomplishment!  


Now, I am going to eat a sandwich, take some ibuprofen, and enjoy the pending rain in a semi-comatose state.

I saw this video on a cop chase show... this lady was driving her van and the cops had to shoot out her tires.  She was hysterical and couldn't slow down because the cruise control was stuck.



of course why she couldn't just change gears to park is beyond me...

I like the cruise control these days, I used to never use it
