actually it sounds like you bought the wrong kind. Did you get one that says "epoxy" or 2 part mix? or it could be a primer.

If its a little tube that came with the sight, you should just be able to twist off the end. Just put a little on the holddown screw threads and tighten it down. The locktite keeps the screws from coming loose.
ETA: Locktite typically is red or blue, the red is high strength and is for things you don't want to take apart again (you can use heat to losen it), and the blue is medium strength and fine for most applications and it allows you to get things apart again, good if you ever want to take the sight off. it came in the box with the ARMS 40 sight. i've been told it's blue. there are no directions.

Just clip off the end of the tube of lock tite. It will be blue.
Apply one drop on the threads and tighten down as usual. The loc-tite will keep the part from loosening up from vibration, yet the part will easily disassemble with regular hand tools. DON'T USE RED LOC-TITE . It is meant for more permanant applications and require the application of heat to break the bond. |

Get the screw firm and tight, that's all you need.

make sure to throroughly degrease both parts first, I use aerosol electronics cleaner.
