A minor event, but I had to pass along that after 27 years active duty in
the US Army and the last 21 years serving in the Rangers, Special Forces and
other elements, I am officially on the retired rolls today. As I left I was
given a certificate from the commander-in-chief, George Bush for my service
(something all retirees receive), and it is something I cherish, he supports
us and is respected by us. Where did all the time go?
Anyway my brothers (the Spec Ops community) are still out there, keep them
in your prayers. They are doing the best they can, and whatever they can to
prosecute the enemy, and they'll do it anytime, anywhere. They have only
one thought, destroy the enemy, these people are not whining to come home.
He, and his compatriots, always have my prayers...
