COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Georgia Sen. Zell Miller campaigned in Council Bluffs Saturday for a man across the political aisle.
Miller is a Democrat who has spent much of the presidential campaign speaking on behalf of President George W. Bush, including an appearance at the Republican National Convention.
Miller spoke at Council Bluffs' Chanticleer Theater and blasted Sen. John Kerry's record. Miller told the crowd of about 100 Bush supporters that he believes the right man to run the country is already in the White House.
"One man with the resolve to make a decision and stick with it, and not wobble and not go weak in the knees, and that man is George W. Bush," Miller told a supportive audience.
Miller said he is concerned for the safety of his children and grandchildren, which is why he says Bush needs to stay in office. He feels the president will continue to make America's security a top priority.
