Since the Redskins moved to DC in the 30's, this has held true: when they win their last home game before an election, the incumbent wins. When they lose that game, the incumbent loses.
Today late in the 4th they threw a TD pass to go ahead with just a couple minutes left, but the play was called back on a penalty. On a subsequent play they were intercepted for a Green Bay win. Hope this 70-year old streak ends this year.
