Ended at 21 straight wins.

BTW, all you assholes out there that think Pitt's win is some monumental achievement, come back sometime next year after another 15 wins in a row and we'll talk "special."

No, I'm not mad. I knew this would end sometime and Pitt was just as likely to hasten it. As a football coach, I just find it interesting how some people percieve certain performances to be "great" or "excellent."

I'm a defensive coordinator for a high school team. Our defense has given up no touchdowns since the third quarter of game two this season. That's 17 straight quarters without allowing an opponent in the end zone. Think that's impressive? Yesterday our team lost 12-0 to a team that hasn't given up a single point since their first defensive series in their first game this season. That's 23 straight quarters of football without allowing any points whatsoever. Five straight shutout wins. Now THAT'S impressive.

Pitt winning today is nice. Impressive? Nah. New England hadn't lost in 399 days. That's impressive.

BAH!!! You Patties are just pissed that your little streak got stopped by an offense lead by a ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course our defense kept Brady down also.

Roethlisberger has won 5 straight- the SECOND BEST ever for an NFL rookie.

Wobblin,
nobody is saying that this is the greatest accomplishment in football history.
I am not trying to take anything away from the Pats. Their win streak has
been one for the record books. As a Steeler fan I am just blown away that we
won the game that nobody ( including myself) thought we would win.

Good luck with the rest of the season with your own team and with the Patriots.
We may see each other again in the postseason.

GO STEELERS!

Again, I'm not angry at all. In fact, the Steelers are my second favorite team behind the Patriots. The Steelers losing to Dallas in the '96 Super Bowl sucked. I thought Pitt had the better team. Thank you Neil O'Donnell you sorry ass.

I wish the Steelers well and hope they have a great season, continuing with a win against those pricks in Philly (mostly T. Owens).

The real loser are the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS first they pick Ryan Leaf, second pass on Michael Vick, third pass on Roethlisberger to get Phillip Rivers!!!!!!  Rivers no doubt will crash and burn beautifully just as the draft experts said he would!!!!!!!!!!!  The Chargers GM and Owner should do the honorable thing and find a sword to fall on!!!!!!!!

It absolutely makes my week when my beloved Steelers kick some ass.
And that is what happened today.  They did not just win, they OWNED.

One for the thumb...

I WAS THERE, AT THE GAME!

Section 130, row d! 9Unfortunately, all of the steelers TDs were scored at the other end of the frigging field!)

It was an awesome game!!!

Hopefully, this is an omen: PA triumphing over something from Boston (Kerry on Tuesday...)

not a slam on the steelers, but that win was due more to new england mistakes than anything.
the patriots have a mess of injuries this week also, but man, every mistake was right after accepting a punt/kickoff, way down near the end zone.
whether an interception or a fumble, they had barely 20 yards to go to score.
hopefully, they'll redouble their efforts next week.
the patriots were crushed due to their own poor play.
with a 6 and 1 season so far, i'm not feeling too worried for them.

edit to show that 24 of 34 points came off the 2 interceptions/2 fumbles.

Any way you cut it, the Steelers dominated today.  So all you guys and gals in NE just enjoy the Red Sox win.  Besides a Patriots loss isn't a bad trade off for a win that took 86 years to happen.  Oh yeah...

GO STEELERS!
