My buddy just sent me a ton of good pics from Afghanistan last night, which I would like to post, but they are all far to large to get on the ARFCOM photoserver.  How can I change the resolution on the pics I have to be much smaller?

Also, he sent them to me with WinRAR, which is a format I have never used before.  Does this complicate things?

Thanks for any advice.

goto www.download.com and get Irfanview

it will resize, crop, view, compress photos

There you go, irfanview, does a great job (I pretty much only use it for batch conversions of files) and it's free too!

WinRAR is another compression tool like WinZip, you can download a demo I think. The mentioned software will work, there should also be some shareware/trial versions of others, Paint Shop Pro used to have a good 'demo' version. If you would like I can resize them for you. Let me know and I can IM you an email address.
