Yes, two weeks in a row. If you watch the first song that POS did you can see where he takes the Mic away from his mouth the lead vocals of the song keeps playing.

SNL is Bullshit!

Anyone have a link for his first song tonight on SNL?

Once again, virtually ALL popular performers have backing tracks these days. If you looked through the current Top 100 songs, at least 75% of those performers use recorded backing or even lead vocal tracks on their live performances. It's 100% for the groups who dance while performing.

I seriously doubt that MM needs to lipsync. All the guy does is TALK with rythm. It's not challenging even for a brain trust guy like him.

Wow, what are you saying? Back in the day, the Stones did all their stuff live and for real. They must be slipping in their old age. Or are you saying that they sound sucky because they don't lipsynch?

That's the damn truth. I saw them about 15 years ago, and they were GREAT live. But then you actually have to have TALENT in order to pull it off live....

#1 - acoustics of their set probably sucks

#2 - people aren't used to live music, they want it to sound like the radio

#3 - this prevents from swearing or doing other things that are unplanned

#4 - the "Artist" doesn't have any real "singing voice".

I've never understood why anybody cares if they lipsync or not. As long as it sounds good who cares?

I've read of lots of times and seen singers who sounded completely like crap singing "LIVE" I wish they were lipsyncing.

Of all who should garner shame, it's Lorne Michaels and the SNL production crew that used to pride themselves and use the selling point that music acts on SNL perform "live."

Actually SNL has one of the best sound stages in NYC... one of the other top venues accoustically is the Grand Lodge of New York, Free and Accepted Masons. Our main hall is as close to accoustically perfect as any room in the world. Many major labels rent it out for production and we host classical concerts there all the time. The room can accomodate several thousand people.

With some acts it isn't an issue, but I would think that for live TV there would be a concern about what Eminem would say if he wasn't lip-synching. If you make your living shocking people, singing an unedited version of a song live on national television isn't going to hurt your sales any.

As with most live programs these days, I'm sure they run a 5 second delay as a regular policy, so profanity is not an issue. Eminem acts like a bad boy, but he's a businessman pure and simple. He knows when he must clean up his songs.
