A rifleman/woman?
A handgunner?? A shotgunner??? What particular discipline do you feel is your strong suite? I don't care if your punchin paper, fillin the freezer or protecting the rest of us. What are ya? ETA: nationwide picked "handguns" |
Do we have to pick just one
Seriously though I'm a jack of all trades... not great in any of them but pretty good in all. Is that bad? |
Rifles.
I'm good with the pistol and able with the shotgun but the queen of the battlefield is the rifle. |
The King is artillery, right? |
recently, pistol and shotgun are what I've been training on. Hard to do rifle when you live in an urban area...
Yes. The purpose of the exercise it to pick ONE. When put in a stress situation, you are not gonna be 100% with every type of weapon you pick up. I feel safe in sayin you will shoot one better than the others. |
To be fair then I picked handguns since due the the limited distance of the range I goto I shoot them the most. |

I've put more meat on the table with my 870
I'm a better shot with my .308 I get the biggest woodie shooting my 1911 |
If I wanted to know what you were gonna use in a gunfight, I would have asked. |
Depends on the situation.
I am good with a shotty, but if it is over 30 yds I'll go with my rifle. (Any nonCQB situation) and I am damn near useless with a Pistol. So I am going with rifle. |
I enjoy shooting rifles better, but can't see very well.
Shotgun shooting is fun, but gets old after 45 minutes to an hour. Pistol shooting is fun, when you practice on something more than just paper. But, I'm best with a rifle. |
Handgunner, first and foremost.
OK with the Rifle. Don't own a shotgun, but have done well with other peoples. |
Rifle, no question about it, ...................it's all I own

Yes, yes... I think I dated her sister. This is about what firearm type you are better with. |
Handgun and scattergun will work for me long enough to get my hands on a rifle.

As a former infantryman, I ALWAYS think of the rifle when I think "firearm"
Pistols are neat and all, and shotguns are great for hunting pheasant (or maybe clearing trenches), but the rifle is what I feel comfortable with, and what I feel I can handle ANY situation with. |
Rifle. Handguns are better than nothing, and shotguns are perfect for snakes in the yard, but when was the last time a major military decided on either a pistol or shotgun as the primary issue weapon? Why exactly do you think that is? It is because a rifle is far more verstaile than either a shotgun or a pistol.
Hand guns are great for close shots, and often shotguns are even better, but when the ranges go over a hundred yards a shotgun or hand gun are nearly useless, once you get to two hundred you may as well be throwing rocks. Plus Shotguns are just don't hold enough ammo, six to eight shells in most pumps, maybe twelve in a high speed combat auto loader. |

Where is the, "I suck at everything and don't have a strong suite." , option?
I think you just exercised it! |
Did you miss that part of hunter safety??? A FIREARM IS FOR SHOOTING, NOT USING AS A HAMMER |

Hey, you said we could only choose one, you didn't say what criteria we had to use to make that choice. Rifle is the only correct answer. Who the F takes a pistol when they can have a long arm? |
Ya know what? You can kiss my ass. I don't even own an airsoft gun. And, the only time ive even held one is when i was shooting my little brother with his. ETA: Sorry for the attempted hijack NW |

rifleman first, handgunner second. I sometimes amaze myself at what I can do with a rifle that I am comfortable with. Thanks Arvin
