Do we have to pick just one

Seriously though I'm a jack of all trades... not great in any of them but pretty good in all.  Is that bad?

recently, pistol and shotgun are what I've been training on. Hard to do rifle when you live in an urban area...

Yes.  The purpose of the exercise it to pick ONE.

When put in a stress situation, you are not gonna be 100% with every type of weapon you pick up.

I feel safe in sayin you will shoot one better than the others.

To be fair then I picked handguns since due the the limited distance of the range I goto I shoot them the most.

Depends on the situation.
I am good with a shotty, but if it is over 30 yds I'll go with my rifle.  (Any nonCQB situation)
and I am damn near useless with a Pistol.  So I am going with rifle.

I enjoy shooting rifles better, but can't see very well.
Shotgun shooting is fun, but gets old after 45 minutes to an hour.
Pistol shooting is fun, when you practice on something more than just paper.

But, I'm best with a rifle.

As a former infantryman, I ALWAYS think of the rifle when I think "firearm"

Pistols are neat and all, and shotguns are great for hunting pheasant (or maybe clearing trenches), but the rifle is what I feel comfortable with, and what I feel I can handle ANY situation with.
