A Macrovision® error occurred while trying to play the DVD. Please try restarting your computer to fix the problem. If you continue to receive this error, please try reinstalling your DVD navigator, or contact your DVD navigator manufacturer

About 10 minutes into a movie, I get the preceding message.
The problem is encountered again after restarting the computer.  Any ideas?  Is there other software I can use to play the DVD? (Interactual is what came up.)  Attempting to play it with Windows Media Player gets me no where - "WMP can't play this DVD because of analog DVD protection..."

1) I'm 20, 2) I'm not married.
So, I doubt that's it.

BTW the dvd is 25th hour.

Use DVD shrink to rip it.

macrovision is the technology they use to prevent DVD copying. Is it a legit DVD? does it say DVD9 on the box anywhere? That could cause a problem is the DVD player is older....

Try ripping it with dvdshrink like AZ-K9 suggested, its free.

ugh, you loaded the crap that came on the dvd. Unload that now. You should have gotten like power dvd or win dvd player or something with the dvd drive that will play it. Dvd decrypt is also free and will rip it exactly to the hd for you. sometimes dvd shrink can't rip, or if the dvd is a bit cruddy, it won't retry enough times to power through it.

Get Nero 6.0.
Turn off autoplay using either the drive settings or else download Power toys and use it.

It's a smart DVD player, it's saving you time by preventing you from watching 25th Hour.
