I just saw a news clip about a pot bust in beaverton OR where they found an "arsenal of dangerous weapons including an anti aircraft gun"   I saw them dragging out a couple AK type rifles and what looked like an MG34 I'm not too up on old german guns but it's something of that genre.   Of course the beaverton cop was talking about the .50 caliber ammo that would shoot right through their cop cars....  I dont know for sure but I didnt see any big 50s pulled out of there, not on the news clip anyhow.   They showed a belt of linked ammo but it didnt look big enough for 50bmg.   This shit pisses me off, makes us all look bad.   I hate to think what would happen if they had some reason to sieze my guns.... that is before they fell overboard....

In all fairness, an MG34/42 (in 7.92mm or 7.62MM) could slice through a squad car like wet tissues!!

So even if the caliber was incorrect, the sentiment might have been SOMEWHAT valid.

In all fairness a straw penetrates a 4x8 in a tornadoe.

it was marijuana...

All the stoners were probably too mellow to actually use the guns.

Yep, Our state senator Ginny Burdick is going to love this.  She's the one that promises to push through an assault weapons ban in Oregon if she's reelected.

Didn't see the news article though.

They just ran a story on it on the local Fox affiliate.

The "MG42" that they're calling an "Anti-Aircraft" weapon ('cause he had it on an AA tripod) looked like one of the plastic conversion kits for the 10/22.

The guy DID have an M-2 though but they didn't say if it was "Real" or one of the Semi's they sell.

Just watched it on Fox 12. The  guy had a semi  mg42 and a TNW semi .50 m2. Thay just showed a bit of the M2 but kept showing the MG42.  I also noticed a krink that I am sure was not registered. That whole thing just pisses me off, it makes all of us look bad. I bet that %90 where stolen from a leagle owner. Also heard that he had silencers, but thay never showed any.

Here's a few links...

KGW (NBC)
KPTV (FOX)
KOIN (CBS)
KATU (ABC)

Some reports (KOIN) refer to a full auto .30 cal submachine gun.  None tell us whether the weapons in question are legal to own, acquired legally, stolen, etc.  Very anti gun feel throughout all of the articles.

Joy.

Had the gun been fired, it would've "destroyed the neighborhood," Wandell said.
HMM?

Some nice guns there, hopefully they were stolen and will be returned to their owners.   If not I shudder to think of them melting down that M2!!!

Apparently whey you're a drug dealer, laws don't apply and you can get all the toys you want. It's us honest people that get the shaft.
