Not that any day is a particularly good day to quit.

Sucks huh?

I've "written-in" this Sunday as my quit-day and I'm bummed-as-hell about it

I'm not so much concerned about my health as I am about the amount of $$$ I spend on this stupid addiction these days.

Best of luck man!

EDIT to say:  HANG IN THERE!

I quit cold turkey about 8 months ago.

I think next time I'm going to have to go patch country.  I'll usually last a good 3 weeks when I try to quit, but then I drop it.

It's probably my work environment though.  Half of us smoke and my desk is at the back wharehouse dock...where we smoke.  So, if anybody goes for a smoke I can't miss it.

I quit cold turkey 15 years ago. Just realize that smoking doesn't make you "feel better", it makes you feel sick.

I started smoking in Iraq... on some nasty cigarettes.  Probably lost 15 years off my life in a few short months.  Quit pretty easily when I got home, I guess it was the environment/stress.  Occasionally, I still "burn one" with some of the guys.

Good luck, and ban assault bricks!  Its for the children... of smokers!

I quit almost two years ago. It was one of the best moves I ever made. I look at it this way. $3 a pack, a pack a day for 365 days = $1095. That's a new AR every year you don't smoke. Sounds like a good trade off to me.

I quit chewing several months ago.

At first the people around me patted me on the back.  After a few days they were throwing cans of Copenhagen at me and telling me to have a damned chew!

Hang in there.  It gets better.

Go ahead and have yourself a Heart Attack, it makes the quitting a lot easier,,,,,,,,,,,,,I've been clean for a few days over 4 years now.  I had my last puff waiting for the Meat Wagon to pick me up!
