At what point would we use the 2nd amendment for what is was written for? Exactly how much would the liberals/socialists have to take away from the consitution before we took up arms for it? And what difference would sacraficing ones life in a fight "against our government, but for our Country/Constitution" would there be from say fighting a war for out gov't in Iraq or Vietnam?

I thought of this when discussing what would happen if they ever decided to ban guns all together or just plain ignore all of the bill of rights, right to free speach, right to bear arms, etc. with my dad, and he was like well if it ever got to that point I'd fight for it and alot of other people would too, and I agree, but at the same time, I told my dad, you know we'd probably be killed or arrested and tried for "treason" right off. And he remarked, if it ever really got to the point of having to fight for what this country really stands for, that wouldn't be any different from going off to fight the terrorists in Iraq.  And then I thought about it, and well fighting to defend our constitution from a government gone bad is probably more important than the fight against terrorists.

The founders cleary place the Amendments {Bill of Rights} in the proper order.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Samuel Adams

The said constitution shall never be construed to authorize congress to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms.

The first amendment leads to the second. if ever it is breached the second amendment must be used.

The criminals is government will never give in without overwhelming force bringing them to justice, because the criminals know they will hang for treason should they ever face a fair trial and the resulting justice.

Power concedes nothing without demand, never forget that.

A Well Regulated Militia
