If Kerry gets in office:
When terrorists attack again, I'd love to see Edwards piss his pants and hide behind Kerry... Who would blutter "It's Bush's fault!" immediately.
I do not want this to happen, but for that nanosecond after you see it, it would be worth it.

Tell me this: If you are so worried about another terror attack on US soil, how come it hasn't happened already? If it hasn't happened because the Pentagon is on the case, why would it be any different under a Kerry administration? Clearly they would understand the risks and maintain the same policies, if, in fact, there is a real threat out there.

You should know the answer to this one.
It hasn't happened because
we took the fight to them. The terrorists are currently busy with their Jihad in Iraq and Afghanistan... That is not to say that there haven't been attempts to strike us on our soil-- there have been attempts thwarted by our intelligence community, and probably more than we even know about.
So here's the reason it could happen on Lurch and spEdwards' watch and not on President Bush's watch: Lurch has said he would withdraw the troops from Iraq on a set timetable. This would do two things: 1: let the bad guys know when they can try to take over in Iraq and 2: let them know when they'll be free to attempt another strike on our soil.
During the Clinton administration (including the Pentagon), we had the WTC bombing on our own soil, and a bunch of bombings, etc., on US interests (killing Americans).
Terrorism is nonpartisan.
