What will happen when Bush wins big (in the EC, but maybe by only 3-4% popular vote) and Kerry STILL decides to challenge the election in several states?!?

He's trending up nationally too...

STOMP STOMP, GOBBLE GOBBLE - G!O!P!

I would love it if sKerry lost so big that there could be no challenge.  Him having to call up GWB and congratulate him, would be the ultimate humiliation.    How I would love to listen to that call.

It is to early to celebrate a Kerry defeat yet.

SWEET!

I truly hope sgtar15 is right!  In fact I think this was his plan all along, I bet he waited till this weekend to make some important phone calls, and BAM, Bush starts pulling ahead big time!

Heck, was just looking at a couple polls today and saw that HAWAII is leaning BUSH and one poll had a tie!
Boy when that happens, it's gotta be really troubling for Kerry.

Interesting article on MSN.com.  special.msn.com/weeklyreader/grade5up/882199.armx?GT1=5472
Those of us with kids know what the Weekly Reader is.  And both of mine (9 and 13) chose Bush in their little mock elections.  My 13 year-old was alone on that vote in his group, but he stuck with it.

like you said though, they are a democratic polling firm, so there numbers basically mean nothing.  there was a democratic pollster in SC that showed the dem. Senate candidate up by 3 points, right in the middle of 2 other polls that showed the Republican candidate up by 10 and 12 points.

As silly as it may seem, the school polls can be very good predictors as they reflect what households are thinking and if people are talking about it in front of their kids enough to influence them, there is a damn good chance that those people will be voters.

yup, the one (scholastic i think?) has predicted the winner correctly all but twice since the 1940s
