Has anyone heard if they are coming out in a synth/stain version in 300 WSM? Does anyone have any experience or opinions with it? If they don't have any plans for it in the near future, I will probably go with a Marlin 1895GSh
My 3006 was also deflected off of 2 small twigs on a shot on another elkhe.

It doesnt take much to deflct a bullet. Even the largest bullets are easily deflected. I saw a G&A test on this from the late 80s, even elephant guns would be more than a foot of, target only like 10 feet behind light brush. I have turned down shots on 5 or 6 game animals, mostly moose, because I won't shoot through the brush.
