From another thread: Just curious - What would happen if anybody who "already-voted" as an early-voter showed up to their designated polling station on Nov. 2nd and said they wanted to vote?  |

Heaven forbid we'd hate to piss them off.  Besides, now in Colo. you have to present your driver's license or state issued I.D. card. That'll help some. |

at our polling place they check you off a list. If you aren't on the list; no go.
and if you're in the wrong polling place, you are not on the list. Now, using different SS numbers, that's another matter. Or dragging dead guys in and making them vote, again, another matter. |

I thought Federal law said you can vote anywhere and they have to let you? They just take you name down and your vote is counted last if proven valid. |

yes. as in yes for myself. in my youth, i 'committed' more than my fair share of civil disobediance. i leave it to you, today's youth, to burn, march, demonstrate, make signs and...of course...to vote early and often. |

At my polling place they ask for identification. Then they find a voting form with my name on it. I sign the form. A portion is torn off the form and both pieces are put into a different book. Then they give you a ballot. I don't see how it is possible to vote more than once unless you come back with a different name and identification.

I wondered about this the other day since I received a vote by mail form, which I did not request. Since I received that, would I still be able to vote at the polling place? And NO, I do not mean double vote, but vote instead at the polling place rather than by mail (just to make SURE my vote was there and was counted rather than possibly getting "lost" in the mail by some democrat mail person.

The blue hair ladies will catch you , hell they almost didn't let me vote the last time even after I went home and got the voter registration card.
Besides bush will kick ass in Texas. Now a couple extra votes for Tom Delay wouldn't hurt. Pissed me off the other day he was at the fire station in town and I missed a chance to meet him. I would have loved to shake his hand and tell him Thank You for a job well done. |

No, you HAVE to be voting in the district you live in. If you don't, your vote is nulled, automatically. |
